The FlowLite Story

Good light is something you feel before you notice it. We make the kind you never have to think about twice.

Where it started

FlowLite began with a simple frustration: a line of light that looked perfect in the drawing, and disappointing in the room.

Anyone who has lived with linear LED has seen it. Dots showing through the lens. One run a little green, the next a little pink. A cove that glows at one end and fades at the other. A driver that hums. None of it is dramatic, but all of it chips away at a space someone worked hard to get right.

Most of the time the cause is the same. Linear light gets treated as a commodity: a reel of whatever diodes were cheapest that month, a channel that almost fits, a power supply picked at the last minute. Each part is fine on its own. Together, they never quite agree.

We started FlowLite to do it the other way around. We begin with the light itself, its color, its consistency and its smoothness, and build the tape, the channel and the driver around it as one system that was meant to work together from the start.

What we believe

Light should make a place feel like itself.

A kitchen should look warm and clean at night. A shop should show its products in their true colors. A hallway should feel calm, not clinical. That is the job, and everything we make is measured against it.

Color you can trust

90+ CRI as our standard across every color temperature, so wood, stone, fabric, food and skin look like themselves.

The same light, every foot

Color that matches from the first foot of a run to the last, and from one run to the next, so joints and corners disappear.

Made to last

Components chosen to hold their color and output through years of heat and daily use, not just to pass the first switch-on.

We sweat the parts you will never see.

Plenty of brands buy generic LEDs off the shelf and print a logo on the reel. We treat the LED package as the heart of the product, because it decides almost everything you will see later: the color, the smoothness and how long the light stays beautiful.

  • Chosen for color first. Every package is selected for how it renders color, not just for lumens per dollar.
  • Dense and even. High-density boards and dot-free COB lines give a smooth line of light, even in shallow channels.
  • Built as a system. Tape, channels and drivers are matched to each other, so what leaves our shelf works together on yours.
  • Backed by a real warranty. FlowLite LED tape and drivers carry a 3-year warranty, and FlowLine 4.4 carries 5 years.
The warmth people remember

Light that feels like home.

For generations, incandescent and halogen light set the standard for warm, flattering light. It brought out rich reds and gentle warm tones and made rooms feel inviting. People still remember that glow, even if they cannot name it.

Our warm color temperatures, 2700K and 3000K, are aimed at that same feeling: light with warmth and depth, delivered with the efficiency and long life of modern LEDs. Where a space changes through the day, our tunable white and dim-to-warm lines let the light change with it.

Real people, real answers

Behind every reel is a team that picks up the phone.

We are based in New York, and we work the way we would want to be treated. When you call or write, you reach someone who knows linear light and wants your project to turn out well, not a ticket number.

Not sure which tape suits a cove, which channel fits a shelf, or how many drivers a long run needs? Send us a sketch, a photo or a plan. We will help with the layout, the run lengths and the driver sizing, and tell you plainly what will work and what will not.

And we would rather you see it than take our word for it. Ask for a sample, hold it up in your own space, and decide with your own eyes.
